Subject:   Request to Help the Knights and Church

Worthy Supreme Knight,

This letter was written between 1:00 A.M. and 3:00 A.M. today in the presence of Jesus Christ, exposed for adoration in the Blessed Sacrament.  On this, the first anniversary of a proposal I submitted to you last year, I ask to meet with you regarding the funding of my ongoing efforts in support of Eucharistic Adoration.

In New Haven yesterday, gay marriage court and election victories have been firmly established.  Despite efforts of the Knights, Prop 8 in California passed only by a small margin. It continues to be actively opposed by many California politicians, is being very aggressively protested by enemies of Christian moral principles, and is likely on the fast track to being overturned by the state supreme court.

Our country has elected the most pro-abortion president in history who promised to sign the Freedom of Choice Act to overturn hundreds of state laws restricting abortion.  It can be argued the Catholic vote was instrumental in the pro-abortion, anti-family victories in last week’s elections and pro-abortion Catholic politicians will likely be pivotal in the battles for life and family that are about to begin. We must change this!

But standard political weapons alone will not bring victory.  A spiritual renewal is needed.  You stated that we Knights “are providentially positioned to take up the challenge of a leadership role in the renewal of parish life: to be the strong right arm of our parish priests…we must reach out into more parishes with an active presence”.  EUCHARIST ADORATION IS THE KEY TO SPIRITUAL RENEWAL.

I joined the Knights primarily due to your writings as related to the Eucharist which I became aware of while assisting the Archdiocese of Chicago with the August 2005 Grant Park procession hosted by the Knights.  I actively work to support Eucharistic Adoration for the dioceses of Chicago, New Orleans, and San Antonio as well as supporting Adoration Chapels in California and Pennsylvania but only as my financial responsibilities permit.

I would like to discuss with you in person funding assistance from the Knights so I can take the proven work I have done in support of Adoration (www.pjp2ea.org and www.adorationservants.org as two examples) and dedicate myself to this cause in support of the Knights and the Church around the country. As part of growing adoration around the country we could also do such things as organize extensive Eucharistic processions to inspire Catholics to a more devout life which of course means more support of pro-life.

Without Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:5).  Without an extreme renewal of spiritual life among American Catholics, pro-life efforts will not be as victorious as they could be. The Knights have the resources to allow me to go so far as to give up my business and dedicate myself to helping this cause.  All I ask at this time is the opportunity to speak in person with you as soon as possible.

Thank you and may God bless your personal efforts, those of the Knights, and of our Church.
